Right-Back - Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool)

After an offside call by Paul Tierney denied Fulham a goal, Alisson reacted quickly and released the ball to Alexander-Arnold. His defence-splitting long ball found Mohamed Salah clear down the right flank who slotted it past Sergio Rico for Liverpool’s initial goal.

Alexander-Arnold missed a header which sailed high over the crossbar from Fabinho‘s cross in the 20th minute and another one in the 86th minute past the back post.

Firmino presented a glorious opportunity for the Liverpool full-back, but his right-footed shot from outside the box sailed over the bar in the 81st minute.

A sturdy Fulham defence withstood a brace of long-range shots from Alexander-Arnold.

He set up Mane with an inch-perfect cross only for Mane to skew it wide of the goal in the 53rd minute.

Left-Back - Andrew Robertson (Liverpool)

Andrew Robertson provided a first-time cross which found an unmarked Shaqiri at the far post to slot the ball home for his side‘s second goal.

Robertson prompted an excellent save from Rico in the 62nd minute after an inviting pass from Firmino.

Sadio Mane was the recipient from Robertson‘s sublime cross which sailed high over the goal post hardly troubling the Fulham custodian.

Andrew Robertson provided a defence-splitting pass to Salah who got deemed off-side by the linesman with Rico heaving a sigh of relief.

Robertson has enjoyed a terrific start this season for the Reds with three assists and 25 tackles and 716 passes completed.
