On 28 May 2015, after turning down a new contract at Blackburn Rovers, Joshua King switched to AFC Bournemouth ahead of their first-ever season in the Premier League.

His best ever performance in the League was during the 2016/17 Season when he scored 16 goals in 36 appearances.

This season he has combined with the previously mentioned Callum Wilson to help Bournemouth punch above their weight by scoring five goals and assisting one.

An often forgotten fact about Joshua King was that he was handed his first senior debut as a 17-year old by Sir Alex Ferguson for Manchester United. At the time Sir Alex predicted that King had a 'really good future'.
