#2 Nacho Monreal
Composition, composure and timely interceptions, Nacho Monreal had them all on Saturday. A lot of us may question the reason behind Lacazette's absence in this list, but it's important to note that the striker was largely ineffective after Arsenal’s opening goal.
Monreal was, however, lively throughout his time on the field. The veteran defender was named in the Gunners’ staring XI ahead of Sead Kolasinac, and he justified his selection with conviction. The Spanish left back constantly linked up play, although not all his final deliveries were top notch.
Having battled with injuries last season, Monreal could play a major part in Arsenal’s season should he remain fit for the rest of the campaign.
Against Burnley, the 33-year-old reminded Emery and the Gunners faithful that he's still got it and can be relied upon despite his age. On the basis of Monreal’s performance against Burnley, don’t be surprised if he is handed another start against Liverpool next week.
#1 Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is simply a man on fire. The Arsenal striker scored 22 Premier League goals last season – a tally that saw him share the Golden Boot award with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
He is continuing from exactly where he left off last season. The Gabon international scored the only goal as the Gunners defeated Newcastle United last week and he was again on the score sheet against Burnley on Saturday.
Aubameyang scored what proved to be the winner after some impressive pressing by Dani Ceballos saw the ball fall kindly in the Gabonese's path. It was his seventh goal against the Clarets in four league appearances. The former Borussia Dortmund forward was Arsenal’s main threat throughout the game and his goal was the least he deserved for his efforts.
