Most Fouls Won: Jack Grealish | 167
Aston Villa's beloved leader Jack Grealish has had a stellar season for a struggling team in 2019-20. He has mesmerised with his ability on the ball, continually attracting players and going past them with the utmost ease. Grealish has been vital for Villa's hopes of survival and, rather poetically, scored the goal that confirmed their survival in the league.
The 24-year-old played 36 league games for Dean Smith's side, scoring eight goals and assisting six — the highest on both accounts by a Villa player. He has also created more chances from open play than any player in the league bar De Bruyne.
Grealish broke the record for the most number of fouls won in a season, having been fouled a staggering 167 times across 3234 minutes. It remains to be seen if he'll stay at Villa Park with Manchester United reportedly attempting to lure him to Old Trafford.
Most Dribbles: Adama Traore | 184
Wolves' electrifying winger Adama Traore has been a terrifying prospect to defend against, as former champions Manchester City learnt the hard way. The Spaniard has always been viewed as a player blessed with surreal talents, but his end product has been questioned.
Adama has started 27 games for Wolves this year (ten sub appearances), recording four goals and nine assists. Although these numbers aren't as flashy as those of some others on this list, there has been a notable improvement in terms of his decision-making and end product. The 24-year-old has been vital for Nuno Espirito Santo's high-flying side.
Unsurprisingly, he has registered the most number of dribbles in this edition of the Premier League, having tallied 184 dribbles in his 2608 minutes.
Most Tackles: Aaron Wan-Bissaka | 129
Manchester United's summer 2019 purchase has given the Old Trafford faithful an excellent account of himself in his debut season at the club. The Red Devils have invested up to £45m in the Crystal Palace youth product, and he has already given them a glimpse of what he's capable of.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been a staple in United's defence (34 starts) and has helped them nullify threats from some of the most dangerous wingers in the league. Their right flank has been challenging to breach primarily due to the rock-solid full-back's presence. Wan-Bissaka's attacking components do need to be refined further, but overall, he's proved to be a useful acquisition for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The 21-year-old topped the charts for most tackles last year, and managed to replicate his achievement in 2019/20 as well, recording a league-high 129.
Most Clearances: James Tarkowski | 200
Burnley's defensive rock James Tarkowski has been an ever-present figure in the Clarets' backline. The Englishman has established himself as one of Burnley's key figures on the pitch and has done his reputation no harm with another splendid campaign in the 2019/20 season.
Tarkowski was present on the pitch for the entirety of Burnley's Premier League 2019-20 campaign, racking up a massive 3420 minutes on of football. His no-nonsense approach to defending symbolises Burnley's defensive prowess. The centre-back averaged 5.2 (!) aerials won and 5.3 clearances per game.
The 27-year-old also ended the season with the most number of clearances made by any player, having accumulated 200 clearances in 2019/20.
