Midfielders
Fabinho: After a slow start to his career at Anfield, the Brazilian international has settled well into the team and is now an essential member of Jurgen Klopp’s side. He played 28 Premier League games last season, contributing one goal and two assists.
Georginio Wijnaldum: The star of Liverpool’s historic comeback against Barcelona in the Champions League, Georginio Wijnaldum is likely to feature in the forthcoming season as a first-team starter. He played in 35 league games for the Reds during the 2018-19 campaign, registering three goals in the process.
Jordan Henderson: The Liverpool skipper played 32 games last season, scoring once and assisting three goals in the process. Defensively, he averaged 1.4 tackles, 0.9 interceptions and 0.4 clearances per game in the league.
Henderson is a real asset to the team and would be expected to lead from the front again this season.
