#4 Chelsea
A transfer ban, and the arrival of a club legend who was beloved but had no experience at the top stage made for a nervous summer for Chelsea fans. These two factors combined with the loss of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid made fans doubt whether Chelsea would be capable of finishing in the top four this season.
The opening day loss to Manchester United aside, Frank Lampard has not put a foot wrong in the Premier League this season, defying all expectations.
Currently placed fourth in the Premier League, Chelsea have won their last five games in the competition while playing some brilliant football. With new signing Christian Pulisic showing how good he is and Tammy Abraham finding his feet, Lampard's young team are showing hunger and eagerness to reach the top.
With Manchester United and Arsenal unable to find their mojo with managers who may not even make it till next year, the race for the third and fourth spots will most likely be between Leicester, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur as the season progresses.
However, Spurs have been very inconsistent in the Premier League since the beginning of 2019, and they already sit 10 points behind Chelsea (having as many points as Manchester United, and four less than Arsenal) with a lot of uncertainty surrounding the team.
As such, at this point, it would seem that the Foxes and the Blues will be the ones who will be playing Champions League football next season alongside Liverpool and Manchester City.
