Unai Emery had bad luck when it came to injuries this season and regardless of fan opinion, it is a lifeline that the former Sevilla manager can hang on to.

This was particularly true in defense and injury troubles forced him into playing players out of position which had consequent disastrous effects.
Things have, however, improved in recent weeks and heading into the clash with West Ham, Ljungberg had the services of his first choice full-backs, with both Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney in line to star against The Hammers.
The first blow was struck when right-back Bellerin pulled up with an injury in the warm-up and matter were made worse when Kieran Tierney was substitued less than half an hour into the clash with what appeared to be a shoulder problem.
Although no official statement has been released on the severity of the injuries, fans of the club would be hoping they are not too serious, as the two full-backs will have a key role to play if Arsenal are to achieve their ambitions this season.
