#4 Tanguy Ndombele
Another exciting midfield prospect to look out for in the new season is Tottenham Hotspur's latest signing, Tanguy Ndombele.
Ndombele was Spurs' second purchase since Lucas Moura arrived from Paris St-Germain in January 2018.
The club-record signing at £62.8m is a solid box-to-box midfielder, who is more comfortable going forward with the ball rather than breaking down opposition plays in front of the defensive line, like his predecessor Mousa Dembele.
He has played in both of the pre-season fixtures and has started out very brightly in Tottenham colors, even setting up a goal for Lucas Moura in what were his very first touches of the game against Juventus, which they won 3-2.
He has been compared to former Chelsea star Micheal Essien due to his similar role and physical abilities, but he can also be likened to Yaya Toure, because of intelligent use of the ball when in possession, but to be on a similar level to the Manchester City legend, he needs to work a lot on his finishing.
At just 22, he has the world at his feet, and it is expected that Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino would offer him every bit of opportunity to grow and can play a crucial role in the upcoming campaign, given that Spurs are in need of a midfield general since the departure of Dembele.
He also had seven assists last season for Lyon, thus apart from letting players like Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen move deeper into the attacking third, he also possesses the ability to create chances himself.
