2012 & 2013 -- Robin van Persie (Arsenal and Man United)
Robin van Persie was in the most tremendous form of his career throughout the span of 2011-12 and 2012-13.
In 2012, van Persie played for Arsenal and became the Golden Boot winner, scoring 30 goals in 38 matches. Despite his efforts, the Gunners, led by Arsene Wenger, could not secure the league title that season.
In 2013, the Dutch forward jumped ship to rivals Manchester United in a controversial move. For the Red Devils, van Persie scored 26 goals in the 38 games as he helped them win their 20th league championship, the last under Ferguson.
