Liverpool are in a good place at the moment following the Euphoria of reaching the UEFA Europa League Final at Basel later this month. They have had a stop-start season otherwise and Jurgen Klopp’s men would like to end the season with a flourish with 3 games lined up for the Reds.
The match against Watford at Anfield precedes another one only three days later against a beleaguered Chelsea side they will look to beat in the build-up to the Europa League final.
Quique Sanchez Flores’ men have had a great start to the season followed up by a set of results that has seen them drop to 13th in the table. The last few games have seen the Hornets concede 7 goals of which 2 were conceded to a hapless Aston Villa side who have already been relegated this season.

The Hornets will be aware of the Anfield aura which has found new meaning under Jurgen Klopp and will hope to put in a performance that sees them come out with a result.
The game will see a few great matchups between some players. Christian Benteke up against Miguel Britos will make for an interesting narrative while Martin Skrtel will have his work cut out by Troy Deeney and his swashbuckling approach to a game.
The game will also feature the likes of Sheyi Ojo and Jordon Ibe who will look to impress the manager with a view to getting a bigger role to play in the season that is to come.

With an eye on the game at Chelsea, Klopp may also field the likes of Kevin Stewart, Cameron Brannagan and Danny Ward who have every reason to approach this game with fire and desire to impress the faithful. Joe Allen may also find himself dictating play for the Reds in midfield.
While the result in this game may go only a little far in changing the shape of either team’s finish to the season, there is no doubt about the fact that a win will go a long way in setting up a good end to a long hard season for either team.
As for the Reds, it will surely set the tone for a very important next couple of weeks as Liverpool look to fight their way into the Champions League by winning the Europa League final.
