Manchester United eye Lewandowski
Manchester United have set sights on signing Robert Lewandowski this summer according to reports in The Sun. The Red Devils are looking to offer Anthony Martial in the deal to sign the Polish striker.
Lewandowski was linked with Chelsea for a long time. He was also a target for Real Madrid but nothing materialised.
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has ruled out the move and said that he is not interested in signing Martial. “We have four wingers: Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben, Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry. And Alphonso Davies will also join in January. You must not overdo it, like some clubs do, or you create a problem for the coach.” he said.
Martial returns to training
Anthony Martial has returned to United's pre-season training after the birth of his child. The Frenchman was criticised by Jose Mourinho for leaving the pre-season tour of USA midway and without informing him before hand.
His future at Old Trafford was a doubt but now it seems like he will be staying at the club. His only possible destination was Bayern Munich and they have ruled out a move for him.
