With a total of 99 passes against Leicester City, Paul Pogba played his best game yet in a Manchester United shirt. He was dominant in the midfield making clever passes and even scored his first goal for the club. He headed in United’s fourth goal of the night from a Daley Blind corner.
Adam Lallana
Adam Lallana was heavily involved in Liverpool’s 5-1 win over Hull City on Saturday. He displayed intelligent movement and crisp footwork till he was taken off to resounding applause. A cool finish to the first goal and two assists meant Lallana had done his job for the night.
Philippe Coutinho
Philippe Coutinho was versatility personified against Hull. The opposition couldn’t pin him down to any one position as the Brazilian kept popping up everywhere on the pitch. His work rate was impressive, going as far back into deep midfield to collect the ball and begin a fresh wave of attack. He scored one goal, a signature curler from outside the box.
Alexis Sanchez
Alexis Sanchez made his 100th appearance for Arsenal against Chelsea and kicked off his special night with the first goal of the night. He ran the entire Chelsea team ragged and gave them no respite. One of the most hardworking men on the pitch, Sanchez provided the assist for Ozil’s goal.
Son Heung-Min
Son Heung-Min was Tottenham’s best player on the pitch. The Korean scored a brace with immense composure and skill and proved that he was the team’s best player on a dead ball. He was superb with his corners, putting the Middlesbrough defenders under pressure with every delivery.
