De Ligt on the move

One of the most sort after defenders in the world right now is Matthijs De Ligt. He has been linked with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool and both Manchester clubs but according to the player himself, he hasn’t made decision regarding his future, stating that he is only focused on finishing this season with Ajax right now.

He also added that he doesn’t think he would be more expensive than Frenkie De Jong as the latter is a midfielder and they are usually more expensive than defenders. He, however, doesn’t know anything for sure yet as the final decision lays in the hand of Ajax.
“I haven't made a decision yet so I don't know [if I will stay],” he said. “I am only focused on the last games of the season for now. We still have a lot to play for so let's finish this season in a good way.”
“Will I be more expensive than Frenkie? I don't think so, no,” he said. “Normally teams spend more money on midfield players than defenders. I really don't know. It's up to Ajax, it's not something that I decide. We shall see.”
