Real Madrid target Liverpool's Sadio Mane
According to Marca, Real Madrid were in touch with Liverpool's Sadio Mane to discuss a potential move to the Santiago Bernabeu. According to the report, the Senegalese winger was even contacted before the Champions League final - a match where he had scored the equaliser before the Reds succumbed to a 3-1 defeat.
While Mohamed Salah has been a reported target for ages, Zinedine Zidane apparently wanted Mane's industry instead. The 26-year-old was the French manager's top target before his sudden and surprising exit from the club.
The report states that the club could still pursue the deal after they appoint a successor but it remains to be seen whether the Anfield club would entertain any bids for the man Jurgen Klopp has used to build the best attacking trio in Europe.
