#2 Kane on January signings
Tottenham forward Harry Kane has revealed that only the manager makes the decision to make signings in the market. Spurs didn’t sign a single player in the summer and Kane believes that it is better to not sign anyone if the said player isn’t right for the club.
He also added that Pochettino had faith in the squad, which is why he didn’t press for a signing in the summer.
“Sometimes if you can't find the right player there's no need to buy a player,” Kane said. “That's obviously the gaffer's philosophy and that was his thinking [in the summer]. He believed in the squad he had and we're doing alright so far.”
Speaking of the winter window, Kane enthused that should the Argentine want to sign anyone, he shall and even if he doesn’t, they will keep working as they have been.
“We'll see what happens in the January transfer window. If the gaffer wants to buy someone then I'm sure he will. If he doesn't we'll crack on and keep doing what we're doing.”
