The American has been linked with a move to both Chelsea and Liverpool. However, according to a report from German outlet Bild, Chelsea have agreed on a deal worth €50 million for the transfer of the USMNT superstar.
Keeping in line with what was reported by Bild, Liverpool Echo state that Jurgen Klopp has no desire to sign the Dortmund star in the January transfer window. Apparently, the German tactician is happy with the squad that he has at his disposal.
So, interpreting all that information, it seems as though at this point, the Blues are ahead of the Reds in the race to sign the American superstar. Only time will tell whether it is the correct interpretation.
