Hello and welcome to the Premier League transfer news and rumours of the day! Here are the top stories of the surrounding the Premiership!

Eriksen open to leaving Spurs

Spurs midfielder Christian Eriksen has stated he is open to leaving Tottenham this summer. The Dane stated that should he leave, it would be for a club that is a step up to Spurs.

He also stated that he hopes for clarity regarding his situation and that it is now time for a new challenge in his career.

"If I have to go, then hopefully it will be a step up. I hope there will be a clarification during the summer. That's the plan. I feel that I am a place in my career where I might want to try something new.”

He then added that he has a lot of respect for the Londoners but he is seeking clarification about everything and wants it soon from Daniel Levy.

"I have the wildest and deepest respect for everything that has happened in Tottenham.
"But in football you do not know when clarification comes. It can happen any time."
"Everyone wants it as soon as possible, but in football things take time. It depends on [Spurs chairman] Daniel Levy," Eriksen added.

The Dane also stated that another club must be interested in him for him to make the leap, which is why he can’t put a date on anything. He is also open to staying at Spurs if no big club is interested in him.

"And another club has to come in, or I have to sit down at the table and negotiate a new contract. You can't set a date yourself.
"If nothing pops up that is more exciting, then why not stay in Tottenham? If I then sign a new contract, it depends on the conditions."

Sturridge to Arsenal

Former Crystal Palace star Clinton Morrison thinks that Daniel Sturridge would be a great fit for Arsenal. The Englishman had a rough season with the Reds and could be leaving the club this summer.

And according to Morrison, Sturridge has the ability to play in the Premier League because of his technical strength. He also added that despite his injuries, he would be a good addition to most sides – including Arsenal.

“I believe Daniel Sturridge is still good enough to play in the Premier League. He’s got a great technical ability,” the ex-Crystal Palace striker said to talkSPORT.

“He’s had a lot of injuries, but I think he’d be a great addition for most Premier League teams.

“Maybe not in the top three or four, maybe not for Liverpool or Manchester City, but he could go to a team like Arsenal.

Newcastle United and West Ham United

While there is still confusion over whether Rafa Benitez will stay at Newcastle United, it seems like they have identified their summer targets. According to reports, the Magpies are interested in acquiring the services of Scott Dann from Crystal Palace.

The fee quoted for the move is around £6 million. Surely not the type of signing Newcastle fans had expected after the takeover talks!

Meanwhile, West Ham United are also going to make some tweaks to the squad with Manuel Pellegrini at the helm. According to The Guardian, West Ham have identified the area that they want to improve.

The report claims that the Hammers are looking for a quality deep-lying playmaker. They have also been linked with attacking midfielder Kostas Fortounis.

What do you think of the players linked to the two Uniteds? Would they be able to improve the respective teams?

Liverpool may have won the Champions League but they are prepared to go to another level next season by making important additions to the squad this summer.

And according to reports from France, Liverpool are close to signing Nicolas Pepe from Lille. The French outfit rate him at €80 million but Inter are also interested in the player. However, Liverpool have stepped up their pursuit for the player and are the favourites to sign him.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are close to making their first signing of the summer in the form of Daniel James. According to reports, he is set to become a Red Devil after he completes his medical at Carrington.

Both the clubs have reportedly agreed upon a fee, which is believed to be in the region of £20 million. Only the formalities remain before the deal is officially announced by the Old Trafford outfit.

Daniel James will definitely not be the last signing United will make in the window. They are one of the clubs that need a huge renovation in the summer and it seems like they are going to go all out.

According to reports from Italy, the Red Devils have made a bid for long-term defensive target Kalidou Koulibaly. The Senegalese has been linked with a move to the English club for a while now and the Red Devils have made an £84 million (€95 million) bid for him.

Koulibaly has been linked to Real Madrid as well.

Meanwhile, another player that has been linked to both Real Madrid and Manchester United is Joao Felix. And if reports from Portugal have any meat in them, the Red Devils are set to make an offer of over £100 million for the youngster.

It will, however, be in installments.
