Story of the day
It is hard to believe that the story of the day doesn’t involve either Real Madrid or Manchester United. Today is all about Tottenham Hotspur – yes, you read that right.
The Lilywhites haven’t made a single signing in the last two transfer windows and it is unlikely that they would go three windows in a row without signing a player.
They have been linked with a plethora of a players, including Tanguy Ndombele, Bruno Fernandes and, most importantly, Giovanni Lo Celso, who was excellent for Betis last season.
According to reports from Spain, Messi wanted him at Barcelona but failed to convince the club as the player wants to move to the Premier League. Both Manchester City and Tottenham are interested in him with the latter being able to guarantee him a spot in the starting XI.
Lo Celso is valued at around €80 million.
