Hello and welcome to the Premier League transfer rumours of the day! The headlines have already given away how crazy today’s day in the transfer market has been. So, without further ado, let’s go!
#5 Ryan Fredericks and a bit of Arsenal
West Ham and Crystal Palace are going to wage a war for the signature of Fulham’s Ryan Fredericks. His contract with Fulham ends at the end of the season and his future with the club is uncertain, say Evening Standard.
The Sun, meanwhile, claim that Arsenal are going to sign three players even before they have named their next manager. Apparently, the Gunners have set aside £75 million for Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Bernd Leno and Caglar Soyuncu.
#4 Arsenal hold talks with Seri
Jean Michael Seri was one of those players that constantly found himself in the mix of rumours last season. While Barcelona were the team that were extensively linked to him, Mirror claim that Arsenal have held talks with him but are set to be beaten by Chelsea for the £40 million man.
Meanwhile, according to the ever-reliable Gianluca Di Marzio that Mikel Arteta is the favourite to take charge of Arsenal next season and that the first purchase following the departure of Arsene Wenger will be Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
#3 The desire for Dembele
Ousmane Dembele’s time at Barcelona hasn’t gone as he would have hoped. After signing with the Catalans for big-money, the exit rumours are already surrounding him as according to Don Balon, Bayern Munich and Liverpool are willing to pay €80 million to sign him.
Meanwhile, in another exclusive from Transfer Market Web, with Antoine Griezmann heading towards Barcelona, they might have to let him leave on loan – and Liverpool are interested to do that.
#2 Manchester madness and a bit of Bale
Manchester United are the flagbearers of the transfer rumour section. Today, Don Balon state that Leonardo Bonucci is on the agenda of Jose Mourinho, who was also previously interested in Raphael Varane.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur could win the race to sign Gareth Bale if a report from Don Balon is to be believed. Real Madrid want £100 million + £50 million in incentives but Spurs aren’t willing to pay anything more than £60 million + £30 million in incentives.
#1 Rumours of the day
Liverpool are going to make the headlines for much of the summer due to the fact that they have a lot of money to spend and some glaring holes in the squad to fill – and also Mo Salah.
Real Madrid want Mo Salah, claim Don Balon, and are offering Lucas Vazquez, Dani Ceballos and Keylor Navas for the Egyptian, but Liverpool instead want Marco Asensio, who has a release clause worth €700 million.
Finally, Toni Kroos has an offer from Manchester United and is seriously considering accepting it, say Don Balon. His release clause is €300 million.
