#5 Burnley man signs news deal

Johann Gudmundsson has signed a new deal for three years with Burnley.

"This season has been a good season for myself and the team and being rewarded with a new contract is a great thing," Gudmundsson was quoted by Sky Sports.

"It's something I wanted to do. I want to stay here. I feel comfortable here and my family likes it here, so I definitely wanted to sign a new contract.

"It's a good thing to sign it before the World Cup, just to get everything out of the way and now I can concentrate on the last game and the World Cup."

#4 Everton and Arsenal

So Everton are set to strengthen their squad in the transfer window as a report from the Mirror suggests that Newcastle captain Jamaal Lascelles is on the radar of the Goodison Park outfit for £25 million.

Moving on, Read Arsenal state that Tottenham target James Maddison could be Arsenal’s first signing post-Arsene Wenger era. The midfielder has had a fantastic season with Norwich and is on the radar of a plethora of Premier League clubs.

Wilfried Zaha is a man in demand following his beautiful season with Crystal Palace. It is for this reason that Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham will battle among themselves for him in the summer, with Spurs poised to make a move say Mirror.

Speaking of Spurs, Gareth Bale was poised to make a return to the club where he shot to stardom. The Madrid outfit, however, want £90 million for him, but the Lilywhites won’t go above £60 million for him, say Diario Gol.
