Hello and welcome to the Premier League transfer roundup for the day! Real Madrid players are in huge demand in the Premier League – as per the rumours – and so without further ado, let’s begin!
#5 Wilshere speaks about an extension
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has given an update on his contract situation with the Gunners to Sky Sports.
“We are still in the same position really. Not much has changed. We are still talking.
“Obviously the boss has left which has changed things a little bit because I don’t know who is going to be the manager next year and that can change things.
“But we are still talking and I am hopeful and the club is hopeful we can get something done.”
#4 Chelsea eye young manager
With Antonio Conte set to be sacked by the Blues, the London club have eyed a replacement in Julian Nagelsmann of Hoffenheim, say Daily Star. He is only 30 and has helped his team to a fourth-place finish in the Bundesliga last season.
Meanwhile, Maurizio Sarri is another manager being linked with the Stamford Bridge club. According to The Sun, he could bring his chief defender Kalidou Koulibaly with him to the London club should he become their next manager.
#3 Kroos and 30 days
This is an interesting one. According to Diario Gol, Toni Kroos has asked Real Madrid for 30 days to decide on his future as he is seriously considering leaving the Blancos after the end of the season.
And he has two options.
One: Manchester United. Jose Mourinho is an admirer of the player and wants him to be the flag-bearer in midfield. Two: Manchester City. Pep Guardiola knows the German from their time in the Bundesliga and wants to reunite with him in the Premier League.
#2 More Chelsea and bit of Asensio
The Sun seem to be on fire today as they claim that Chelsea are ready to make a £31 million bid for Bayer Leverkusen’s 21 year-old full-back Benjamin Henrichs, who is rated as the best young defender in the Bundesliga.
Meanwhile, for most of the season, Marco Asensio was being linked with Chelsea. Now, however, according to Diario Gol, the young Spaniard is on the radar of Manchester United, who are willing to pay £100 million or David De Gea for him.
#1 Rumour of the day
Mohamed Salah is a man on fire, which is one of the reasons why Liverpool have one foot in the final. It is also the reason why he is being consistently linked to Real Madrid as Diario Gol seem to believe that there are two players who Klopp wants in return.
While Real Madrid are willing to let Gareth Bale go to Liverpool in a swap deal for Salah, the Reds also want goalkeeper Keylor Navas. The deal, according to the report, could end up being Bale + Navas + some money for the Egyptian.
