Foden to stay
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has claimed that Phil Foden will not be allowed to leave the club even on loan. The youngster scored his first goal in Europe for Manchester City against Schalke and has been praised for it.
And according to Guardiola, he has played quite a few games in his first season with the first-team of the club and stated that as long as he is the manager of Manchester City, there is no way that he shall let him leave because Foden is too talented.
"People say Phil Foden doesn’t play too much. He is 18, it is his first season and he plays a lot of minutes already, a lot of games," said the City boss.
"The people say he should be on loan. Phil Foden is not going to be on loan. As long as I am here he will be close to me because he is an incredibly talented player.
