Hello and welcome to the Premier League transfer roundup for the day. A lot of different outlets have reported a lot of different rumours—and here are some of the best of the lot.
#5 Stoke City and Tom Cairney
According to the folks at The Sun, Manchester City-owned goalkeeper Angus Gunn, who is on loan at Norwich City, is on the radar of Stoke City as they are taking measures should Jack Butland decide to leave this summer.
A lot of Fulham players have alerted Premier League clubs and Tom Cairney is one of them. Apparently, Fulham will let him leave for £20 million should they fail to win promotion. This is a news that should put Watford, West Ham and Newcastle on their toes—report the Mirror.
#4 Tottenham
Every year, the London outfit fall short marginally and it seems as though Mauricio Pochettino doesn’t want a repeat of that this season. The Sun has reported that Tottenham Hotspur have targeted RB Salzburg’s Amadou Haidara, who is a 20-year-old midfielder.
Meanwhile, Paul Scholes is of the opinion that Luke Shaw should join Tottenham Hotspur to renew his career.
"I still believe he could be the best in the world and in the summer he could go to Tottenham or somewhere and he could improve," Paul Scholes was quoted as saying.
The Evening Standard are the ones to report this, and after Shaw's display against Brighton, not many fans will disagree.
#3 Liverpool
Lucas Vazquez has been a busy man in the news - first for his exceptional performances, and now for apparently wanting to move away from Madrid. According to Diario Gol, the Spaniard has offers from many clubs, but it is Liverpool who are reportedly willing to do anything possible to bring the winger to Anfield.
Meanwhile, Liverpool—or, more specifically - Jurgen Klopp, is interested in a young Bundesliga talent, Muhammed Kiprit from Hertha Berlin according toSportBILD. The forward has scored 19 goals in 20 A-Junioren Bundesliga Nord games, and is being touted for big things in the future.
#2 Arsenal
Arsenal might have already signed two strikers in the last 10 months, but that didn’t stop them from giving a try for Robert Lewandowski. According to Mundo Deportivo, Lewandowski negotiated with Arsenal but has now chosen to reject them and join Real Madrid instead.
Meanwhile, not everyone rejects Arsenal, as Luis Enrique is apparently stalling on the reigning Premier League champions Chelsea. Enrique wants to wait for Arsenal should they sack Arsene Wenger and make him an offer to take over the reins at the Emirates, says the Daily Star.
#1 Manchester madness
For most of the year, Manchester City were touted to sign Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk. Now, however, according to an exclusive from Daily Star, Manchester United have leapfrogged their rivals for the £40 million-rated midfielder.
Meanwhile, Don Balon reveal that Manchester United are interested in James Rodriguez and will use Alexis Sanchez to convince him to join the Red Devils. The former Porto man is apparently open to the idea, but will only decide after the World Cup is over.
