Manchester United have been linked with a move for Gareth Bale but it seems as though the Red Devils might not want to sign him after all. According to ESPN’s Mark Ogden, the Welshman isn’t being targeted by the Old Trafford outfit.

The reason is that they are not sure if the former Tottenham man is worth the amount of money given his age as they are planning to sign players that are young and filled with talent.

“The 29-year-old is in Manchester, training with Wales at United's Carrington base ahead of Wednesday's international friendly against Trinidad and Tobago,” he wrote.

“But sources said United would not be registering an interest with Real due to the prohibitive cost of signing the player and his age, with their recruitment plans instead set to be focused on young and emerging talent.”
