Hello and welcome to the Premier League transfer news and rumours! Here are the top stories of the day surrounding the Premiership…
Sanchez might be sold
Alexis Sanchez has been a major disappointment ever since his move to Manchester United. And according to pundit Charlie Nicholas, the Chilean could be sold in the summer transfer window.
He stated that the former Barcelona man gets injured too often these days and also questioned his attitude towards the club. As a result, with all things considered, it is safe to claim that he could be sold.
“I think they’re running down the clock with Sanchez. I think he’ll be gone in the summer – that’s the reality,” he said.
“They’ll look at things and say ‘what have you done? Not very much’, and he gets injured a lot these days. You have to look at what United have got coming through and they’ve just given Martial a new deal so when he’s fit, he’ll be playing.
“Sanchez had the huff with Arsenal over a contract so what type of mood is he going to be in when he doesn’t get a game? I don’t think you hang about for that and I think Sanchez will be gone in the summer.”
Gareth Bale set to leave
The general consensus is that Gareth Bale is set to leave the Bernabeu in the summer for a move back to the Premier League. And according to former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon, he is going to be sold this season.
Calderon claimed that the fans are not happy with the lack of commitment shown by the Welshman and that he is not the player to lead the attack at the Bernabeu. As a result, he might not be there at Madrid next season.
"It's true that he wasn't the leader people expected here after Cristiano (Ronaldo's) departure," Calderon told Sky Sports News.
"He showed a lack of commitment. People are not happy - they saw how he shrugged off his team-mates when they went to celebrate a goal with him last La Liga match and also (his) injuries.
"It's a pity. I don't see him here next season, unfortunately."
Cancelo to Manchester United
Joao Cancelo has caught the attention of Manchester United according to reports. Barcelona were keen on signing him last summer but now the Red Devils have entered the race and have made a €60 million offer for the full-back.
Kroos to Manchester City
Manchester City have agreed on terms with Toni Kroos for a move in the summer window, according to reports from Spain. The Galacticos want around €80 million for him but the Citizens are not willing to pay anything more than €50 million for the World Cup winner.
Tottenham
According to a report from TMW, Patrick Cutrone is really unhappy at AC Milan and wants to leave the Rossoneri. The Italian outfit are also willing to sell him for a fee in the range of €35 million, with Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund being linked to the player.
