#4 Why Spurs didn’t sign

Tottenham Hotspur endured an inactive summer transfer window where they didn’t sign a single player and chairman Daniel Levy has apparently revealed that reason for Spurs’ lack of signings.

In a meeting with the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust, he discussed a variety of issue and one of them was the summer window. The details of it can be found here as THST have openly shared them.

Apparently, Pochettino didn’t want to sign anyone just for the sake of it, which sort of explains why the Lilywhites did what they did.

“[Levy] explained that the club had based the summer window on certain assumptions that some players might be leaving and certain targets would be available.

“[Pochettino] didn’t want to sign someone for the sake of it. He felt there were sufficient players in the squad, and that those coming back from injury would be like new signings.
