Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has recently signed a contract extension that not only keeps him at the club for 5 more years but also sees his salary rise considerably.

He now reportedly earns north of £150,000 per-week and according to former Arsenal star Perry Groves, he doesn’t deserve such an amount because he has only just started performing well.
“If you’re telling me he deserves to go from £75,000 to double your money just for getting in the team and playing well over that short period of time, I’m not having it.
“Whichever figure it is, it’s far too much money,” he said.
He, however, admits that Shaw has come back from a bad patch but even then, is being offered too much
“He’s come through adversity, which I get, he’s starting to fulfil his potential. But I think they’ve gone in and paid him too much.”
