Aaron Ramsey is almost confirmed to leave Arsenal by the end of the season at the latest. The Welshman had seen talks break down with the Gunners and is set to leave the club where he has played for almost the entirety of his professional career.

As a result, there was a whisper in the air as to whether he would join Spurs on a free transfer in the summer. The player, however, has revealed that he would never join Arsenal’s eternal rivals and that he isn’t playing with the intention of earning a new contract right now.

“No, I’d never join Tottenham. I don’t feel like I’m playing for a contract, I’m going out and playing the way I have always played,” he said.

“I try to give my best for the team, help the team and try and go out there and play the best I can for myself as well. Nothing’s in my head when I’m out there.”
