It’s been 3 weeks since the a ball was kicked in the Barclays Premier League but there already have been a plethora of ‘changes’. The sacking of Chelsea’s Carlo Ancelotti undoubtedly hit the headlines and recently, Mark Hughes left Fulham as he wants to pursue new experience in his ‘young’ age (or so he says). While Chelsea, Aston Villa and Fulham are all searching for new managers for their respective teams, we, as fans like to see good players join our favorite teams. Here are the top 5 transfers that fans want to see.
1. Romelu Lukaku To ChelseaThe Belgian striker has reported that he intends to ‘tidy things up’ as soon as possible. He will make a decision whether he will stay at Anderlecht or move to one of the top clubs in the world. Manchester United and Real Madrid have already shown interest to swoop up the player but for now, Chelsea are favourites as he has stated he wants to be at England and Didier Drogba is his all time hero. Lukaku wearing Blue is much likelier than him wearing a red.
2. Ashley Young to Man Utd
United are already up and running with their transfer business after they captured the signing of defender Phil Jones yesterday. Sir Alex has already signalled his intention of making two to three signings this summer and Ashley Young’s name looks almost certain to be on that coveted list. The Villa winger has been in imperious form all season long and his top class outings for the Three Lions might have after all but captured the much vaunted attention of Fergie.
3. Charlie Adam to Liverpool
Liverpool are also bidding to bolster their revitaziled squad under Kenny Dalglish and the signing of Jordan Henderson made their intentions absolutely clear. Next on their list? Charlie Adam? The Blackpool captain single handedly led the Seasider’s failed bid of achieving a Herculean target of staying up in the Premier League and boy oh boy did they show plenty of grit and determination. Adam has the capabilities of dictating play from midfield and imagining a midfield combination of Henderson, Gerrard and Adam would be too sweet to reject. However, with the likes of Lucas and Jay Spearing are also pushing for a first team status, it remains to be seen whether Dalglish will spend on another central midfielder.
4. Neymar to Chelsea
Roman Abramovich has attempted on all fronts. He used a Portuguese tactician, spent 50 Million on a Spaniard and a few other attempts. However, in a bid to win the Champions League, Abramovich is set to add that ‘samba’ magic into his vcub. Who will it be? Neymar is certainly the likely one. The Brazilian prodigy is already drawing comparisons with the great Pele and nothing else will motivate Abramovich to splash the cash.
5. De Gea To UnitedThis is probably a very much a done deal. De Gea is already being tipped to be Spain’s future number one and is definitely on Fergie’s radar after he recently confirmed that United have been monitoring De Gea. With Edwin Van Der Sar already retired now, it remains to be seen whether United bring in De Gea as a replacement.
