Chelsea‘s veteran defender, Ashley Cole, will start transfer talks this week with Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid about a possible summer move.
The defender’s contract with Chelsea expires at the end of the season and he has already declined the one-year extension that was offered by the Blues.
Cole could either negotiate a contract with Real or PSG now, or he could wait till the end of the season to sign a deal with Chelsea’s Premier League rivals, Manchester City and United, who are closely monitoring the proceedings of the 32-year-old.
Cole has also not rejected the possibility of an extension at Stamford Bridge, provided Chelsea change their minds to offer him a three-year contract.
United also enquired about Cole in the summer after refusing to meet Everton’s £15m asking price for Leighton Baines.
