Right-back - Achraf Hakimi
Achraf Hakimi is already an undroppable name, despite joining PSG this summer from Inter Milan for £54 million.
Hakimi is one of the best right-backs in the world, and is an instant upgrade on other options like Thomas Meunier and Alessandro Florenzi. World-class offensively, highly creative and possessing blistering pace, the 22-year-old, who scored on his PSG debut, will provide much-needed quality from the right-hand side.
The former Real Madrid man was reluctantly sold by Inter Milan this summer, as the Nerazzurri sought to mitigate their financial woes. The Morocco international is capable of operating as a left-back and on the wings as well.
Centre-back - Marquinhos
Marquinhos is the captain of PSG, and will likely start against Reims, having been on the bench against Brest.
German centre-back Thilo Kehrer started ahead of Marquinhos in that game, but that may not be the case as the season progresses. Marquinhos is one of the best centre-backs in the world, and when fully fit, he will be one of the first names on the PSG teamsheet.
The Brazil international has been a key reason for PSG's success in recent years, with his composure and physical qualities standing out. The 27-year-old is a guaranteed starter for the club.
Centre-back - Presnel Kimpembe
One of the rare PSG academy graduates to have become a key first-team player, Presnel Kimpembe is in danger of losing his place in the first XI.
Kimpembe was a regular starter for PSG last season, but the arrival of Sergio Ramos from Real Madrid could reduce Kimpembe's game time this campaign. Ramos' injury has given Kimpembe a good chance to establish himself as Marquinhos' ideal partner for the time being, though.
The 26-year-old is a one-club man, so it will be disheartening to see Kimpembe leave the club due to lack of game time. Very few PSG academy stars have made it to the first team, and Kimpembe is now a key player for both club and country.
Left-back - Abdou Diallo
PSG have shown no signs of wanting any other player this window, which means they will have to make do with their left-back options for now.
Juan Bernat is recovering from a long-term injury, while Layvin Kurzawa is reportedly free to leave the club. Centre-back Abdou Diallo started as their left-back against Brest, and he looks set to keep his position for their next league game against Reims as well.
PSG have arguably the best squad in Europe, but it would not be surprising to see the club target a left-back next summer. AC Milan's Theo Hernandez was linked this summer, but a move failed to materialise.
