Right-back - Achraf Hakimi
Achraf Hakimi missed PSG's game against Lille due to a suspension, with Thilo Kehrer taking his place.
Hakimi is one of the best right-backs in world football, and has been sensational so far for PSG. The Morocco international joined the Ligue 1 giants from Inter Milan this summer for £54 million. It is evident why the Parisians spent such a huge amount on the full-back.
Hakimi has made 11 Ligue 1 appearances, scoring three goals and providing two assists. The 23-year-old is known for his marauding runs and technical prowess, and can operate as a left-back and further forward if needed.
Centre-back - Marquinhos
Marquinhos is the defensive leader of PSG. He scored a goal against Lille in PSG's most recent Ligue 1 game.
One of the best centre-backs in the world, Marquinhos has been a regular feature in the PSG backline for some time now. The Brazil international joined the club in 2013 from Roma, and has blossomed into a world-class centre-back. He is now the captain of the club.
Marquinhos is a complete centre-back. Physically gifted and comfortable on the ball, the 27-year-old has made eight Ligue 1 appearances this season. He can play as a defensive midfielder as well.
Centre-back - Presnel Kimpembe
Presnel Kimpembe and Marquinhos have been PSG's preferred centre-back partnership in recent seasons.
The arrival of Sergio Ramos this summer raised questions about Kimpembe's involvement. However, Ramos continues to battle injury issues, and is yet to make an appearance for his new club. Kimpembe, meanwhile, has flourished alongside Marquinhos.
The France international is a product of the PSG academy. In Marquinhos' absence, Kimpembe often takes over leadership duties. The 26-year-old has made 12 Ligue 1 appearances this season.
Left-back - Juan Bernat
Juan Bernat continues his recovery from a serious long-term injury, but he started the game against Lille.
Bernat might not be the best left-back in the world, but he is certainly a useful option to have. After starting his career at Valencia as a winger, Bernat made his name at Bayern Munich as an attack-minded left-back. He moved to Paris in 2018 for £4.5 million.
The Spain international is unlikely to regularly start for PSG this season. However, Bernat is a more dependable option than Layvin Kurzawa at left-back. With the young Nuno Mendes still finding his feet, Bernat should get some game time this season.
