Chelsea eyeing Jack Butland as Thibaut Courtois replacement
Thibaut Courtois has reportedly rejected a contract extension from the Blues and is said to be on his way back to Madrid. The Daily Mail understands that Chelsea are now lining up a move for Stoke City's Jack Butland as Courtois' replacement.
Chelsea have also been linked with AS Roma's Alisson Becker but with no Champions League football and an uncertain future under Roman Abramovich, a move for the Brazilian does not seem feasible for the Blues. Butland is a more economical option for Chelsea with Stoke valuing him at £35 million.
Everton to rival Manchester United for Marko Arnautovic
Everton's manager Marco Silva has made Marko Arnautovic his top priority this summer. The Sun has reported that Silva wants to build his Everton side around Arnautovic's pace and power and the new boss also has the backing of football director Marcel Brands.
West Ham value the Austrian at £50 million. The Toffees will have to beat Manchester United to the signing of Arnautovic as Jose Mourinho has identified the 29-year-old as a perfect backup to Romelu Lukaku.
