Everton deny making second bid for Wilfried Zaha, Idrissa Gueye joins PSG

After Arsenal bowed out of the race to sign Wilfried Zaha, Everton have been looking to engineer a deal to bring the Ivory Coast international to Goodison Park. Everton have had an initial bid rejected following which there were reports that claimed that the Merseysiders were willing to offer £55 million in cash + Cenk Tosun and James McCarthy.
"Everton Football Club categorically denies that a bid has been submitted to Crystal Palace for Wilfried Zaha that included an increased sum plus Cenk Tosun and James McCarthy.
"Everton and Crystal Palace have a very good relationship. A bid was made over the weekend which was turned down. Both Clubs agreed that was the end of the matter."

Meanwhile, midfielder Idrissa 'Gana' Gueye has swapped Merseyside for Paris. Gueye's long-awaited move to PSG has finally reached its completion. On joining the Ligue 1 champions, he said,
"I’m immensely proud to sign for Paris Saint-Germain."
