Gareth Bale and Zinedine Zidane
After quite a tumultuous week in the Spanish capital, Gareth Bale seems to have his heart set on continuing at Real Madrid beyond the summer. The Welshman is of the belief that Florentino Perez vetoed his move to China owing to suspicions of Zinedine Zidane's effectivity in the long-term.

Bale does fear that he could be frozen out of the team under Zizou. However, he is not willing to give up and is harbouring hope of outlasting the Frenchman at the club. The former Tottenham man was not at all impressed by how Real Madrid stepped in and vetoed Bale's proposed £1 million-a-week deal to join the Chinese Super League.
Perez was not sold on the idea of letting Bale leave for free after signing him for £86 million in 2013. Perez and Zidane seem to be on two pages about a lot of things now. Perez is not happy with Hazard's signing as the Belgian turned up overweight for Real Madrid's pre-season.
Perez wants to bring Neymar and Eriksen to the club while Zidane wants Paul Pogba. As such, tensions are rising between the two and Bale could stand to benefit from it.
