Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva believes Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo will make a switch to the French champions in near future, Goal reported. Silva has named the Portuguese the best player on the planet and believes he’ll adapt to life in Paris as he already speaks French.
The 30-year-old has been grabbing the headlines in all of the French media outlets for the past weeks after he was seen whispering into the ear of PSG manager Laurent Blanc at the end of their 1-0 defeat to Los Blancos at Santiago Bernabeu last Tuesday.
It all started in an interview when the Portugal captain admitted that he would consider his options in future, but he insisted that he is happy to remain at the Spanish capital for the time being.
Since then, this has caused a lot of unsettlement for the Los Blancos president who was seen greeting each and every Galactico prior to the clash between the two European giants in a Champions League fixture. Perez was seen exchanging few words with Ronaldo and he gently slapped his face to end their conversation. The three-time Ballon d’Or winner has a contract with the Spanish giants until June 2018 but is nonetheless continually being linked with a move to the aforementioned clubs.
Brazillian centre-back Thiago Silva admitted last week that he would welcome Ronaldo to the team if he ever considers joining the French champions and now he has now added his belief that the former United forward would settle in well in Paris as he already speaks the native language.
“I do not know [if Ronaldo will sign] but it's fun playing with such major players,” Silva said in an interview.
“Ronaldo is the best player in the world. If the club wants him, of course the PSG squad would be happy. He is a very good player, technically essential for all teams in the world and especially for PSG, who have a big dream to win the Champions League with great players.”
"I think Ronaldo will come. I do not know what happened with Blanc after the game because he did not say but I hope [there were positive talks between the two]. He speaks French very well, perhaps better than me, and if it happens next year he will have no difficulty speaking with the media.”
