The technically gifted Marco Verratti joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2012. He has been a fixture in their starting lineup ever since and has established himself as one of the best playmakers on the continent.
Despite being a diminutive midfielder, Verratti is extremely effective at the centre of the park thanks to his dribbling, passing range and vision. He signed a five-year deal in 2019 and currently earns £250,000 per week at Paris Saint-Germain.
#4 Marquinhos - £250,000 per week

Marquinhos can play at the heart of defence or as a full-back or a defensive midfielder. He has great positional sense and showcases a lot of composure with the ball at his feet. His passing is excellent and is still just 27-years-old.

#3 Kylian Mbappe - £310,000 per week

#1 Lionel Messi - £650,000 per week
No surprises here. Paris Saint-Germain have made Lionel Messi their highest paid player. The legendary Argentine was ready to take a 50% wage cut to stay on at Barcelona. However, the club has been managed so poorly that despite Messi being ready to make such a sacrifice, they weren't able to hold on to him.
While the 34-year-old has had to move to a new club for the first time in his career, the lucrative contract he has been handed will certainly soften the impact. Messi, who won the Golden Boot in the 2020-21 La Liga season and the Copa America, will be earning £650,000 per week at Paris Saint-Germain.
