Puma King II SL Released

Puma wants to cut down the weight of its football boot lineup. Puma launched evoSPEED SL Camo in June 2015. On July 5, 2015, Puma released the superlight version of King II – the King II SL. King II SL weighs around 180g and (you guessed it right!) is lighter than King II. A whole 90g lighter.

Black/Yellow is the launch colorway. The design pattern on the upper is stunning. It manages to stay with the roots of Puma design. Black is the main color while the yellow covers the heel area, outsole and the cage. On either sides of the boot, we see the iconic Puma Formstripe.

The SL version of the boot combines legendary design with modern technology. Outcome is as you expected, amazing. Let us take a closer look at King II SL football boots.

It features kangaroo leather upper. This ensures supreme fit along with unparalleled levels of comfort. To keep the weight down, Puma made the kangaroo leather of the upper as thin as possible. The soleplate of Puma King II SL is identical to the soleplate of the actual King II. Not a lot of changes here. The Pebax outsole along with nylon studs not only ensures amazing traction levels. It also helps in keeping the weight of the shoe to a minimum. The lockdown is exceptional; maneuverability should not be a problem with this shoe.

Just like evoSPEED SL, the King II SL feature unique stud pattern combining both conical and triangular studs for increased levels of acceleration and rotational agility. This unique stud pattern achieves ideal pressure distribution that ensures support to crucial areas of the foot.
