Swooping in with a 150 million euro deal, Puma have now partnered with Arsenal for the next 5 years, breaking the original 20 year old deal that they had with Nike for the production of the jersey. With a record buy of 150m euros, it is the biggest such deal in the history of English football.
The Puma made jerseys are being released only on the 10th of July, but this hasn’t stopped Puma from posting teasers on the net, showing bits of the making of the advertisement. The teasers are all short, visually captivating and with sounds to keep you at the edge of the seat. It gets you excited about what’s going to come next. And in the teasers, the jerseys worn by players like Santi Cazorla are shown white, signifying an empty canvas or blank template on which the colors will be added.
Arsenal’s season last year went better than usual, even resulting in some silverware finally, after 9 years. Last year, they won the F.A Cup and were placed 4th in the Premier league. Here’s hoping that with renewed jerseys, their energy and commitment too gets rejuvenated. The squad, however looks like it will remain the same as Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal are yet to sign in any new players.
