Radamel Falcao: I wish to stay at Manchester United for many years

Radamel Falcao celebrates after scoring his first Manchester United goal against Everton.

Radamel Falcao wants a permanent move to Manchester United and also wishes to play for many years at the Theatre of Dreams. He scored the winner in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Everton at Old Trafford and has slowly started to repay the hefty loan fee, for which he was loaned out by AS Monaco.

The Colombian will be hoping United put in the £43 million which will be required to permanently sign him and bring him to Old Trafford, after his loan spell expires next summer.

Good times are here

Speaking to MUTV after the match, he said, “Me and my family are happy here, and we would like to stay for many years at Manchester United. All strikers need goals, and for me there was a little bit of relief to score my first goal."

"I hope to score many in the future. It was amazing that my first goal was at Old Trafford, I enjoyed it with all the fans and I want to say thank you to God, my team mates, all the staff and the coaches."

Louis van Gaal on Falcao’s goal

United moved into the top four in the standings with the help of the Colombian’s goal. The 28-year old had already contributed with two assists for United but Van Gaal stated that he required a first strike to setlle in after his move to Old Trafford this summer.

"He needed that goal. I talked with him and I told him that he was forcing himself too much to score. He is a player who scores in every match. Now he has his, it will be better after the international break," the Dutch said.
