Kolkata, April 12 (IANS) Rangdajied United will look to avenge their home defeat in the I-League when they take on Kolkata outfit Mohammedan Sporting Club in the return leg at the Yuva Bharathi Krirangan in Salt Lake on Sunday.
The last time Rangdajied and Mohammedan Sporting met at Shillong’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, the Kolkata side triumphed 3-0, courtesy of goals from Zerry, Tolgay and Joshimar.
But much has changed since their outing in Shillong last October.
Coaches of both the sides, who took charge in the first leg – Bola Aziz and Santosh Kashyap – are no longer in their respective teams while lots of players’ have moved on from both sides.
While the changes have not gone well for Mohammedan Sporting, with the side rock bottom, the alterations have been a blessing for Rangdajied United, who have jumped to ninth place.
A win for Rangdajied would mean, they will steer themselves clear from the relegation zone. While for the Sanjoy Sen side, a win may help them climb a spot, provided Churchill Brothers don’t win against Mumbai FC later in the evening.
