#7 Sol Campbell
Arguably one of Wenger’s most underrated signings is Sol Campbell, the man who he signed from arch rivals Tottenham.
Campbell received all types of abuse when he left Spurs to join Arsenal, unsurprisingly. The Englishman had to deal with obscenities being shouted at him during North London derbies as well as receiving death threats after simply moving football clubs.
However, he quite comfortably ignored whatever was thrown at him and led the Gunners to two league titles in five years at the club. His contribution was incredibly important. Arsenal finished second for three successive seasons before his arrival and won the Premier League in his first season, suggesting he was the final piece of the puzzle.
Campbell is arguably one of the greatest free transfers of all time and one of the greatest players to have played in the Premier League. Therefore, he more than deserves his place in the top 10 of players to have played under the Arsenal boss.
