Trent Alexander-Arnold has redefined the role, while playing with the creativity of the best midfielders in the game. Emerging from Liverpool's youth academy, Alexander-Arnold is a key cog in Jurgen Klopp's team.
Last season, the 23-year-old scored two goals and provided seven assists in the Premier League. He has already surpassed those numbers midway through this season.

#2 Harry Kane | Tottenham Hotspur
Harry Kane is struggling for goals this campaign. His poor form could be down to his failed move to Manchester City this summer. Unable to sign for a title-contending team, Kane has managed just four goals in 16 Premier League games this season.
However, Kane had a memorable Premier League campaign last season, bagging league-high 23 goals and 14 assists. He managed four shots per game on average, and made 49 key passes. It was a shame Tottenham Hotspur could only finish a lowly seventh, despite Kane's staggering exploits.

Last season, Mohamed Salah was one of the most clinical attackers in the Premier League, scoring 22 goals in 37 games.
His incisive dribbling and brilliant eye for goal have already helped him to a league-leading 15 goals this campaign. Thanks to his exploits, Liverpool are third in the Premier League, nine points adrift of leaders Manchester City, who've played a game more.
With half of the season gone, Salah is on course to hit the 30-goal mark, which he last achieved in 2017-18 (32 goals), his debut campaign for Liverpool.
The star has also bagged nine assists in just 19 Premier League appearances this season. With Liverpool on course for their second Premier League title in three years, Salah will need to continue his blistering exploits.
In Liverpool's last 12 games across competitions, Salah has contributed ten goals, which is very impressive.
