#3 Alejandro Balde
Alejandro Balde replaced Jordi Alba in the 74th minute and proved why many consider him the heir to the Spaniard at Barcelona. The youngster picked up where Alba left off and put in an electric performance down the left flank.
Balde was a constant threat as he tried to get past Niklas Sule with his pace and dribbling abilities. He also did well to hound Bayern Munich's defenders high up the pitch to try and regain possession.
Barcelona fans can sleep easy knowing that their left-back spot will be in good hands when Jordi Alba's tenure at the club comes to an end.
#2 Ronald Araujo
Ronald Araujo put in a strong performance for Barcelona as he did well to deal with the threat of Leroy Sane on the right side of a back three. Despite being left exposed by Sergi Roberto on many occasions, the Uruguayan remained solid at the back.
Although he was rash at times, Araujo's physicality helped him deal with the threat of Robert Lewandowski well. The defender also did well to bring the ball up the pitch from the back as he relieved the pressure on Barcelona many times.
The 22-year-old could not do anything about Bayern Munich's goals. He was unlucky to see Lewandowski's shot deflected off him into the back of the net for the Pole's second goal.
#1 Frenkie de Jong
Frenkie De Jong was the only Barcelona player to show any attacking impetus from midfield. He tried his best to get forward throughout the game.
The Dutchman constantly got on the ball and tried to create chances for Barcelona to score. However, Bayern Munich's impenetrable defense was too much for the midfielder to handle.
The former Ajax man played in a deeper role following the introduction of Gavi and Yusuf Demir. He did his best to shield Barcelona's defense but was often overrun due to the lack of support from his team.
De Jong ran himself into the ground by the end of the game in a valiant display, despite Barcelona being completely outmatched by Bayern Munich.
