#3 Mason Mount

Frank Lampard set very high standards for Chelsea midfielders in the Premier League when he became their greatest goalscorer. It is assumed that there may never be another to emulate his heroics and his role. But Mason Mount feels like the closest there could be to emulate Lampard's prolific career graph while staying loyal to Chelsea.

In only his second season with the Blues, Mount won their Player of the Year award after a successful Champions League winning campaign. Tuchel's side are considered the favorites to win the Premier League this season and Mount will be a key component in their title charge.

The attacking midfielder has been left disappointed on a few occasions as Timo Werner's inability to apply the finishing touch has cost him assists. He has been essential for Chelsea in unlocking teams that like to stay narrow and compact. The 22-year old is currently valued at £75 million but one would assume he is invaluable to the Blues.

#2 Declan Rice

One of the hottest properties in the Premier League right now, Declan Rice holds a market value of £70 million and unlike Mount, he is looking to switch clubs. The midfielder is a born leader and has been proudly wearing the captain's armband for West Ham United.

Only 22, Rice's next game will be his 170th appearance for the Hammers and the midfielder has gathered lots of experience in that time. He is a 'destroyer' in midfield and has been essential to breaking the tempo of opposition teams. His ability to read and anticipate the game at impressive pace has seen him play as an effective centre-back as well.

The West Ham captain has taken the mantle to play with the ball and add an attacking side to his game this season. He has frequently made run-ins from deep, providing three assists and scoring a goal in the Premier League.

A relentless runner and fierce competitor, Rice's hunger to get the ball and bring his team back into possession is widely lauded. Rice is a well-rounded and one of the most balanced midfielders in the Premier League. Manchester United and Chelsea are both in the race to sign him.

#1 Phil Foden

Foden will look forward to continue getting regular game time in the Premier League

Back in 2019 when Pep Guardiola claimed he wouldn't sell Phil Foden for even as much as £500 million, the world figured that the Englishman was a generational talent. Two years down the lane, Foden is now starting games regularly for Manchester City in the Premier League and in Europe, justifying his promise with moments of magic.

Foden has been utilized as a false-nine at times, sometimes through the wings and even in a midfield three. In nine starts for Manchester City, Foden has scored five and assisted as many goals. Three of those goals have been in the Premier League.

Last season the City youngster was voted PFA Young Player of the Year. It is ridiculous when one thinks about the level at which the 21-year old will be playing in three or four years' time. Foden uses his turn of pace very intelligently and often leaves the defenders in his trail.

Foden has so far made 137 appearances for the Premier League side and scored 36 times in all competitions. His positional awareness sees him occupy spaces between the lines and is always waiting to receive a pass and make things happen inside the final third.
