#3 Emile Smith Rowe (Arsenal)
Emile Smith Rowe announced himself to the Premier League in some style on Sunday. His talent was always there for everyone to see, but the midfielder never had the goal contributions to back that up.
However, the Englishman showed why Arsenal decided to give him the no. 10 shirt, producing an outstanding display against Tottenham Hotspur. Smith Rowe was a constant threat during the game, completely taking over the left flank. Spurs could not handle his directness and pace on the ball as the Gunners dominated the first half.
The midfielder made an intelligent late run into the box to open the scoring for Arsenal. He then made a lung-bursting run down the left flank to set up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the Gunners' second. Smith Rowe truly had his best game in an Arsenal shirt against their biggest rivals.
#2 Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)
Bukayo Saka produced another top performance, and just seems to be getting better every game. The Englishman ran the Tottenham Hotspur defence ragged, especially in the first half.
Saka got on the ball and attacked the Spurs defence, putting his side on the front foot throughout the game. His pace, flair and directness made a mockery of Tottenham's backline on the night.
The Englishman humiliated Sergio Reguilon for Arsenal's first goal of the game, setting up Emile Smith Rowe for a tap-in. Saka also stuck to his defensive duties well, helping his full-backs deal with the threat of Heung-min Son.
Saka showed great improvisation to score Arsenal's third of the game after the ball fell kindly to him following Harry Kane's challenge. The Englishman created four chances during the Premier League game, the most by any player, showing that he could be key for Mikel Arteta this season.
#1 Jose Sa (Wolverhampton Wanderers)
Jose Sa put in a stellar performance in goal for Wolves, who beat Southampton 1-0 on Sunday. The shot-stopper was immense, shutting out a resilient Saints side, and surprisingly picking up an assist as well.
Sa made an incredible six saves in the Premier League game, including a brilliant double save early on in the second half. The Portuguese keeper commanded his box well during the game, and frustrated the Southampton attackers.
The keeper also bagged the rare feat of picking up an assist during the game. His long ball was controlled well by Raul Jimenez before the striker weaved through the Southampton defence to score.
Sa's performance helped Wolves notch their second Premier League win of the season. So Bruno Lage will hope that the team can build on this result and kickstart their Premier League campaign.
