#3 Steven Berghuis (Ajax)
Steven Berghuis continued his stellar season for Ajax with another brilliant performance in his side's 2-0 win against Benfica in the UEFA Champions League.
The Dutchman ran the show from midfield as the Turkish side could do nothing to stop his dominant performance. He controlled the tempo of the game as he started behind a front three.
The midfielder opened the scoring in the 17th minute, calmly slotting the ball past the goalkeeper after a great run from Dusan Tadic.
The 29-year-old then assisted Ajax's second goal of the night as he provided a cross for Sebastian Haller to convert. The goal basically ended the tie, and his side cruised to victory for the rest of the game.
Berghuis created four chances during the game and was the best player on the pitch for the Dutch side.
#2 Curtis Jones (Liverpool)
Liverpool youngster Curtis Jones put in a performance that would make Steven Gerrard proud.
The young Englishman started in midfield against Porto and arguably produced the best game of his young career. He was unplayable on the night as he was given the freedom to roam behind the front three.
Jones was involved in three of Liverpool's five goals. For the opener, the midfielder made a great run down the left flank and saw his shot saved by Diogo Costa. However, the ball deflected into the path of Mohamed Salah, who easily scored.
Jones then won the ball back in midfield and drove at the Porto defence before offloading the ball to Salah, who slotted in Liverpool's third goal of the night.
The 20-year-old got a little bit lucky with Liverpool's fourth goal as his long ball caused a mix-up at the back for Porto. Roberto Firmino was the beneficiary of the chaos.
This performance is sure to guarantee Jones' place in Jurgen Klopp's starting XI for the foreseeable future.
#1 Georgios Athanasiadis
Georgios Athanasiadis put in the performance of a lifetime in FC Sheriff's unbelievable 2-1 win against Real Madrid.
The Greek shot-stopper was unbeatable on the night and made an incredible 10 saves against the Spanish heavyweights. Apart from saves and blocks, he also did well to command his box, often collecting crosses and through balls to thwart Los Blancos' attackers.
It took a penalty in the 65th minute to breach Athanasiadis' defence. However, he continued to frustrate the likes of Karim Benzema, Vinicius Jr and Luka Modric by keeping them out with his fine stops.
His performance is the only reason why FC Sheriff managed to pull off one of the biggest upsets in the history of football.
