#3 Atalanta (6 games)
In the last two seasons, Atalanta have really been a lively team in Serie A. They have outsmarted some big teams and most importantly have been very efficient in front of goal.
With 37 points in 17 games this season, they sit in third position on the league table. Atalanta have been on a very impressive run in Serie A, going unbeaten in the last 10 games. They have registered wins in their last five games.
The victories have come against Cagliari, Spezia, Venezia, Napoli and Hellas Verona. Fascinatingly, they have scored 17 goals in these five wins. Their win streak began after a 2-2 draw against Lazio on October 30.
They face a tough game against Roma next to continue this wonderful run.
#2 Manchester City (7 games)
Manchester City have done very well this season, recording 41 points in 17 Premier League games so far with a ratio of 2.41 points per game. The defending champions look strong in their bid to retain the title this season.
As is the case with Pep Guardiola's team, Manchester City have been quite dominant in the league this season. They have registered seven consecutive wins in the Premier League. The victories have come against Manchester United, Everton, West Ham United, Aston Villa, Watford, Wolves and Leeds United.
It was not easy to register these seven wins given the teams Manchester City have faced. But their ability to perform against any team is why they have been so successful in the last decade. They were brutal in their last Premier League victory against Leeds United with a stunning 7-0 scoreline at the final whistle.
Their last winless match in the league came in a shock 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace. City will be hopeful of registering one more win as they face Newcastle United at the weekend.
#1 Real Madrid (7 games)
With the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti this summer as Real Madrid's manager, the club are back at the top of the La Liga table. The Spanish giants have registered 42 points in 17 league games so far with a ratio of 2.47 points per game.
Real Madrid are yet to be beaten at the Santiago Bernabeu this season. Los Blancos have been unbeaten in their last 13 matches in all competitions. In the league, they have won their last seven matches. These wins have come against Elche, Rayo Vallecano, Granada, Sevilla, Athletic Bilbao, Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid.
Their lead striker Karim Benzema has been in superb form this season and was instrumental in those seven league wins. With Cadiz up next, Real Madrid are very likely to continue this excellent form.
