Kevin De Bruyne bagged the most lucrative contract in the English top flight when he signed a two-year extension with the club just a few months ago. The midfielder now earns a massive £400,000 per week at the Etihad Stadium, translating to an ernomous £12.8 million on an annual basis.

The Belgium international's status as the Premier League's top earner is well deserved. De Bruyne has been one of the top performers in the division over the last four years. Last season, he bagged six goals and 12 assists for Manchester City as they strolled to claim the title.
