#3 Real Madrid
The Champions League is just incomplete without Real Madrid in it. With 13 titles to their name, no other team has won the trophy more than the Los Blancos.
Having qualified for the tournament 47 times, Real Madrid have played 458 matches. The club also has a record for most wins in the competition with 273. With the Spanish giants always having the best of players at their disposal, goals have come on a regular basis for them.
The likes of Raul, Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and many others have contributed goals in plenty for Madrid. Los Blancos have scored 1006 goals in the tournament's history, out of which 60 have come in the round of 16.
#2 Barcelona
This is the first campaign since the 2000-01 season when Barcelona have failed to make it past the group stage of the Champions League. Bayern Munich's 3-0 thrashing ensured the Catalan club's elimination from the tournament.
It is unnatural not to see Barcelona in the knockout phase but it is a difficult time for the Spanish giants. They have dominated European football for a significant amount of time in the last decade.
With the help of Lionel Messi and other great players, Barcelona have managed to score 655 goals in the Champions League to date. Out of which, 75 goals have come in the round of 16.
#1 Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich can be ruthless on their day, be it in the Bundesliga or the Champions League. The Bavarian club haven't shied away from scoring plenty irrespective of the stature of the opposition.
It is surprising how they have won the Champions League only twice in the last decade. With Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller, Arjen Robben and some world-class players contributing in goal for Bayern, there has been no shortage of goals. They have thrashed the likes of Barcelona and Arsenal in the tournament and made a statement of their intent time and again.
In Bayern's 369 matches in the competition, 774 goals have been scored so far, out of which, 88 goals have come in the round of 16. The German giants drew 1-1 against Salzburg on Tuesday.
